When I was younger, I loved everything an average little girl would such as dress up, having tea parties, and especially the Disney princesses. I had no specific favorite one, but there were ones that I liked more than others. I always liked Cinderella because of her story, Belle because of her hair, and Aurora because her dress was pink which has always been my favorite color. Although I liked almost all the princesses, there was one that I didn’t particularly like, Snow White.
It’s not that I didn’t like Snow White; I just didn’t like the scary looking witch, the queen turned into in the story. When I first saw the witch, I covered my head with a blanket that was close to me. To me, she was really terrifying to look at and I would try to avoid looking at her whenever she came back on the screen. After watching the movie, it became last on the small list of movies that I watched as a kid. Even though I was really afraid of the witch, I never came around to like Snow White. Even now I’m not a big fan of Snow White just because of what I felt when I was little.
Now that I think about it, I probably should have given Snow White a second chance, but my fear of the witch stopped me. Even though it was a small thing associated with Snow White that I didn’t like, I shouldn’t have stopped liking her because of it. Similar in life, sometimes people judge others because of one small thing they heard about them even though there are probably many reasons why they would like them.
