When we were first assigned the project of writing 14 blogs in 14 days, I was a little nervous about it because I know that words don’t come to me as easily as they do to others. I’m not the best when it comes to writing things in general, so I knew this was going to be somewhat of a challenge for me. To be honest, in the beginning I didn’t think I was going to like this project at all, but in the end I actually loved doing it. Although there were some days where I didn’t feel like writing, I could just chose not to do it since we had some extra time for skipped days. I really enjoyed this project because I wasn’t writing about things that I barely had any interest in, instead, I was writing about things that had significance to me. Since all the posts somehow reflected me, I was able to freely express myself about anything relating to my theme.
Being allowed to choose what I write about made me realize that I actually do enjoy writing a lot. Although on other assignments there was a lot of freedom on what you could write, they were a type of project good for people with broad imaginations and lots of creativity. It’s not that I don’t have an imagination or anything; it’s just that I don’t have a wide-ranging mind such as Sel’s, or Alessandra’s ability to just have things come to her out of nowhere. In the future I want to improve on my writing on both the personal and fictional aspects of writing. I hope that writing can someday be something that I look forward to doing instead of thinking it as a chore.
