Day 3 - Traveling to London

I have many dreams that I want to accomplish in the future, but one that is at the top of my list is traveling to London. I don’t really have a precise reason why I want to go there, but I get this feeling saying that I have to go. Maybe it’s because I could see the all the beautiful castles in England that I don’t have the opportunity to see in America, or that I could be surrounded by British accents 24/7. I’m completely and utterly fascinated by their accents and sometimes I wish I had one too.

About a year ago, I started to like London a lot and it soon became somewhere I really wanted to go. I’m not really sure why I started liking it, but it was around the time when Kate Middleton and Prince William announced their engagement. It made me think about England more than I would have before. I think it was because of all the hype and magazine articles about them that it made me finally look them up. I think the first time I saw a video about them; I started liking England almost immediately.

If I had the chance to go to London, there are so many things that I would want to be able to do. As well as visiting castles, I want to visit the Big Ben clock tower, ride on the London Eye (Ferris Wheel), go shopping, ride on a double decker bus, and make a phone call to someone in a red telephone box. Although I would try and blend in, pretending I was just an average person walking the streets, there would be no way I could accomplish it. I would probably be carrying tons of maps and taking pictures every couple of seconds, looking like a total tourist. Also, I could definitely imagine myself sneakily video taping British people speaking so I could remember their accents forever.

Going to London will always be a dream of mine. Hopefully I can go sometime soon, but if I can’t, it will still be on my list of things to do when I’m older. When I’m older, I’ll probably want to do everything that I want to right now, except maybe I won't be as crazy, and videotape their British accents…
